Ellena is a Clinical Psychology Registrar who has worked individually and with groups in a variety of settings, including private practice, a university clinic, and an inpatient and outpatient hospital setting. Within these settings, Ellena has worked with adults, children, adolescents and families. Ellena is experienced in the assessment and treatment of a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, specific phobias, drug and alcohol addictions, intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, and peripartum mental health. Ellena provides evidence-based treatment predominantly using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based CBT, as well as other methodologies including ACT, TF-CBT and DBT.
Ellena believes that the first step is the hardest step when it comes to seeking help, and she endeavours to offer her clients the help they need to make this first step as smooth and as comfortable as possible. Every step thereafter is a bonus! She hopes to provide a warm, safe and supportive environment for her clients where they can work together as a team to overcome the client’s problems and build a repertoire of skills and strategies that will enable the client to face life’s current and future challenges.
Ellena graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) in 2013 and subsequently completely her Honours with a Bachelor of Psychological Science in 2016.
